China Coordination Department

Our Singapore office offers a specialised service with regards to negotiations with hospitals in China, and all Chinese speaking countries. They are happy to liaise to facilitate the discharge and transfer of foreign nationals hospitalised in China, and are able to assist in the repatriation of Chinese seafarers to their final destination.

The department is headed by Elaine Chan who is a fluent native Chinese speaker, and based in our Singapore office. We can liaise on your behalf with doctors and correspondents in China, and to provide an English translation of Chinese medical reports. Occasionally, we are asked to identify a hospital or medical facility in a seafarer’s hometown that could provide care following repatriation.

We are able to provide a relevant translation from the hospital website (which is usually in Chinese only) and also to obtain potential treating doctors CVs, as is often required if the patient is hospitalised, for example, in the United States.

We offer a tailor-made service to look after all medical needs of seafarers in China, and welcome your enquiry for case management or other medically related assistance.
